Steering group update: October 2016

The Steering group held its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday 19th October.
The full meeting notes will be available online once agreed at the November meeting, but here’s a brief summary to let you know what we’ve been doing, and give you an idea of what’s coming next.

In the meeting we:

  • Reviewed and approved the budget and plan for next year.
  • Had a status update on the activities of the working groups set up to gather information for different aspects of the plan.
  • Identified some of the information we’ll need from West Berkshire Council.
  • Discussed our communication strategy to involve the community as much as possible in the plan.

We also discussed our forthcoming photo competition on the subject of “Tilehurst: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly”. More details will be coming in the next few weeks, but don’t wait for an official announcement to start snapping your favourite places or views, and the places you try to avoid. Make the most of the lovely autumn weather to get those moody early morning mists and brightly coloured leaves. We’re looking forward to telling you more about this competition soon, and can’t wait to start seeing your photos!
